Dr. Allert is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in all things elbow and shoulder. Whether he’s dealing with a sports injury, trauma, or arthroplasty, Dr. Allert aims to use the least invasive techniques possible to return his patients to their normal lifestyles.
He has trained under the President of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), as well as esteemed pioneers of reverse shoulder replacement surgery.
Over the past four consecutive years, Dr. Allen has been named one of Bergen County’s Top Doctors. He also received awards from NJ Top Docs and Vitals Compassionate Doctor in 2022.
At Seton Hall University – St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Dr. Allert not only completed his orthopaedic residency but he was also elected chief resident. Prior to that, he received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his ASES accredited fellowship training at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Allert continues to leave his mark in the world of orthopaedics through his peer reviewed literature on modern shoulder surgery techniques. The Shoulder Summit Course of Chicago has recognized him as a key thought leader thanks to his lectures on the treatment of proximal humerus fractures, rotator cuff tears, and shoulder arthroplasty.
Outside of his work, teaching, and travels, you can find Dr. Allert scuba diving, playing basketball, and enjoying quality time with his family. We’re grateful for his positive impact on the medical field within New Jersey.
